Stephen Pellow, Weapons Prevention Worker for Media Academy Cymru, uses the #NotTheOne resources during his regular work with young people.

In his workshops, he shares the Emma Baker video because it ‘helps to ground even the most challenging groups of people’. Everyone in the room becomes quiet and fully engages with what she has to say.

‘It’s an excellent and easy-to-use resource, and very relevant to my work,’ he said. ‘It makes my role easier, having this to refer to.’

He aims to bring a sense of reality to his workshops, helping young people to understand and feel empathy so they don’t make the same mistakes themselves.

‘I recommend using these resources – make the most of having the information and stories at hand,’ he said. ‘They really do make a difference and help you connect to young people.’
